A warm welcome to the new Barnet B's Cricket Club. The merger between Barclays and Barnet has taken place and we are now known as Barnet B's in all Leagues and Cup competitions (Adults and Colts). There has been a large increase in new players and we will be running 4 Saturday and 2 Sunday sides. Captains are:

The Barclays 2nd and 3rd teams of last season have kept their promotion to the higher divisions. The 4th XI are in Division 5 of the 1987 League. The Sunday sides are in the Chess Valley league. If you know of good players who want to join please contact one of the captains or Sanjeeb Selli who is organising winter nets until April in Southall, West London. The cricket pavillion has had a lot of money spent on it during the winter. There are now plasma screens, new furniture and a larger bar which is open every day of the week. We have 3 external nets which are available for members to use every day of the week. So we start the season in vey optimistic mood.

Although it is a long way away we play Barnet Football Club in a 20/20 on Sunday 8 July. Make a note now because this will be a big fund raising event.

Young Players (Colts)
We have a large colts section with over 100 boys aged 6-17. Coaching sessions are on Friday evenings starting on 20 April from 6-00 PM. If you know of any boys or girls who want to join please let me know.

Annual Subscriptions and Match Fees
Annual subs will cost £120 for adults and £60 for anyone who is under 21, a student or not in employment. Match fees will be £10 for adults and £7 for others. We need to collect subs as soon as possible so please send in your cheques (make them payable to Barclays Cricket Club) to myself or one of the captains.

Websites
The websites have been updated with our new name, so log onto www.barnetbs.play-cricket.com and www.barnetbscc.com. Our aim will be to put all of the scores and results and news onto these websites so please log on.

Please let me have your email address because it makes my life so much easier when I need to contact members. There is no sticking stamps, addressing envelopes etc and it is so much quicker.
